Description

My Bonnie Lass Originally scored for five voices, Thomas Morley's My Bonnie Lass translates beautifully to string orchestra, and Deborah Baker Monday adds her own touch by sharing the melody through all sections of the orchestra. Tutti sections alternate with simple counterpoint, while the arrangement stays light, airy, and firmly rooted in G major. The single meter change can be negotiated without losing any character or sixteenth-century style. A fine choice!
