Description

Series: (Legacy Reduced Instrumentation) Rescored for reduced instrumentation ensembles. A soft, contemplative flute solo backed by gentle mallet percussion creates the dream state which Nikola Tesla believed was the source of his creative ideas. This theme is repeated, growing to a full ensemble impact representing the moment of inspiration and creation coming to fruition. The music then becomes faster, with the initial tranquil flute melody gradually transforming into a frenetic dance which symbolizes his many wide-swinging moods and colorful eccentricities.
