Jazz Scale Studies walks us through the different scales that will become the basis for jazz improvisation, from Major and Dorian through Blues, Chromatic, and Diminished. Each scale is presented in keys that Rae refers to as “comfortable, user-friendly”, and is followed by two studies demonstrating the skills learned from the lesson.
