Flute 1, Flute 2, Piccolo, Oboe 1, Oboe 2, Clarinet in Bb 1, Clarinet in Bb 2, Bassoon 1, Bassoon 2, Horn in F 1, Horn in F 2, Trumpet in Bb 1, Trumpet in Bb 2, Trombone, Timpani, Percussion, Harp, Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Violoncello, Contrabass — In 2003, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s celebrated its 25th anniversary. To mark this milestone, the orchestra and its summer home, the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, jointly commissioned Chen Yi to create a new work commemorating the occasion. The resulting Caramoor's Summer is a lyrical tone poem inspired by the beautiful summer landscapes in America. Orchestral materials are available on rental.
