Ge Xu (Antiphony) was commissioned by the Women’s Philharmonic as part of this residence, and the work is inspired by the vividly competitive antiphonal singing of the Zhuang minority and folk dancing tune of the Yi minority in Southern China. Ge Xu (Antiphony) is included on the New Albion CD "The Music of Chen Yi."
