Chromatic harmonies and asymmetrical rhythms intensify the musical tension, while a slower, descending modal section evokes Lusitano’s spiritual core. A brief nod to African rhythmic traditions leads into a somber finale—reflecting both the injustice Lusitano endured and his lasting strength.
