Piccolo 1, Piccolo 2, Flute 1, Flute 2, Flute 3, Flute 4, Alto Flute 1, Alto Flute 2, Bass Flute 1, Bass Flute 2, Contrabass Flute, Percussion, Timpani, Triangle, Suspended Cymbal — Amanda Harberg's well-loved PRAYER was originally composed in 2011 as a meditation on healing. The moving nature of the work's beautiful melody and harmony have led the composer to create a wide variety of instrumentations. Harberg created this version, for eleven-part flute choir and optional percussion, for a consortium of flute choirs led by Paige Dashner Long.
