Flute, Clarinet in Bb, Piano — Over the life of the Palisades Virtuosi, the ensemble has commissioned some 50 new works from outstanding American composers for their trio's instrumentation of flute, clarinet, and piano. The Virtuosi has recorded Birding in the Palisades on their fourth album for Albany (TROY1339). The three movements reflect different images of birds: Eagles' Flight, The Kingfisher and the Fish, and Crows.
