Voice, Piano — For a commission by SongFest, Ran revisits an excerpt of text from her opera Between Two Worlds (The Dybbuk), in turn from Song of Songs. In her new setting, the piano plays an integral role, far beyond mere accompaniment. But it is the vocal artist who imparts, as Ran puts it, "the flow that I found especially evocative."
