Soprano Saxophone, Piano — Laid out in the standard three movements, this sonata, written in 1982, has a more varied harmonic palette than the earlier Sonata for Flute. The writing for both the solo instrument and the piano are also more virtuosic and colorful. This is a challenging choice for an experienced player looking for music of substance to perform.
