Peace is the Way

Description

Flute 1, Flute 2, Flute 3, Flute 4, Flute 5, Flute 6, Alto Flute 1, Alto Flute 2 — In this arrangement for multiflutes of the original treble chorus setting, a four-note phrase, “Peace Is the Way”, is layered repeatedly, one after another, throughout the eight parts, building slowly into sustained chords and a whispered final prayer. Inspired by the quote from A.J. Muste, “There is no way to peace; peace is the way.”
