It was subsequently edited for the 2021 Southeast Trombone Symposium Professors Choir International Trombone Festival performance.- Joshua Kearney A longtime staple of the concert band repertoire in the well-known transcription by William Rhoads (itself based on the orchestration by William Schuman), Ives’ classic VARIATIONS ON “AMERICA” is now available for trombone ensemble, expertly and vibrantly arranged by Joshua Kearney. Dr. Kearney created his arrangement for Dr. Bradley Palmer and the Schwob Trombone Ensemble of Columbus State University in 2008, and subsequently refined it for performance by the Southeast Trombone Symposium Professors Choir at the 2021 International Trombone Festival.
