Set in three movements, the first movement is dramatic, fast and rhythmic. "Speedy Winds," the second movement, is a short, whirling showcase for the woodwinds. The final movement is a slow passacaglia based on on the hymn, "God of our Fathers," the official hymn of the US Military. The work ends with a solemn and moving statement of this hymn. This is the study score, sized at 9x12.
