This sequel features eight pieces for groups ranging in size from 4 to 7 players. As in Houliff's first set for young percussionists, this one features a good mix of styles including jazz, rock, Latin, funk, classical, and contemporary. Scoring requirements call for common instruments onlywhen mallet parts are involved, several options are given so directors can use whichever instrument(s) they have on hand.
