Description

Series: Voyager String Orchestra First released in 1963, this theme-and-variations setting of the great Civil War song takes some refreshing liberties with the old favorite. After the tune is played in traditional 6/8 style, a lyrical section in 3/4 presents melodic elements in elongation.
