Volver a la Monta�a (from Islas y Monta�as)

Description

Volver a la Monta�a (Return to the Mountain) is the second movement of the four-movement suite Islas y Monta�as and is based on folk tunes of the Quechua (Inca) people of Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. To invoke the sound of the mountains, trumpets are muted, flutes use harmonics and a bombo (Andes drum) is used. The optional harp part may be played by marimba and vibes or with a synthesizer. (5:50)
