Series: Excelcia Solo Series for Bb Trumpet and Piano Accompaniment Origins reflects the composer’s love for soaring melodies, jaunty rhythms and rich harmonies. These are all qualities synonomous with the modern trumpet sound. Origins is a journey and a conversation between the trumpet and piano. Each instrument has their own melodic identity. Throughout the development of the piece, they trade ideas, then join forces at the end for a resounding conclusion.
