Elegy (from <i>Elegy Cadenza</i>)

Description

This elegy for B-flat (soprano or tenor) or E-flat (alto or baritone) saxophone and piano is taken from the slow middle section of Elegy Cadenza (2009) by Glen Gillis. Based in the Phrygian mode, it is a simple but mournful melody portraying the emotions of loss and the cherishing of memories.
