The last line of defense is a term that refers to the final means of defense before the opponent reaches its goal, particularly in a war situation.�This piece reflects that definition, as it has the fierce, excitement of a war and represents the bravery of the men and women that risk their lives to defend what is important to them. Written for brass quintet by Ryan Meeboer.
