On Pinta Island

Description

This slow ballad depicts the final days of Lonesome George,�who died in 2012 as�the last of the�giant�Galapagos tortoises of Pinta Island.�An opening trombone solo is the prelude for an extremely expressive melody which builds to an emotional finish.�Musicians will be challenged both emotionally and musically with this simple but descriptive lyrical piece composed for brass quintet.
