Description

Flute, Bassoon — For this underserved pairing of woodwinds, Baksa provides a five-movement fantasia for flute and bassoon. The opening melodic construct is a quiet, evolving affair, which reappears after a faster, lilting second movement, alternating again to end the piece as it began. Baksa's writing is of a contemporary bent, yet falls easily on the ear. Better flute and bassoon duos have known about Fantasy Piece, and we are pleased to make it now generally available.
