Flute, Oboe, Flute 2, Clarinet in Bb 1, Clarinet in Bb 2, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet in Bb 1, Trumpet in Bb 2, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Bassoon, Bb Euphonium, Tuba, Mallets 1, Glockenspiel, Mallets 2, Marimba, Vibraphone, Timpani, Percussion 1, Suspended Cymbal, Wind Chimes, Triangle — Commissioned by two band directors for their band director father, this middle-school level composition focuses on developing student musicians' abilities.  Celebrating their father and his student's accomplishments musically, Erin weaves melodic threads using instrument combinations that are played by the father, the children and even his grandchildren.  Based on a simple lullabye theme, this emotional composition is great for legato style development, intonation work and balance across the ensemble.  Also a great choice for contest or a reflective moment in any performance.
