This piece was written after a trip to visit my oldest child while they were in college in New York City. I love to just walk through the park with no particular destination in mind, watching all the people out enjoying all the different things the park has to offer. Inspired by the peaceful elegance of the park and moments of calm and joy in the midst of a bustling city, this graceful waltz weaves its way through a gentle melody that evokes the sights and sounds of Central Park: the timeless stone bridges, carousel, Bethesda Fountain, and rowboats on the lake. One can imagine a leisurely walk through the winding paths of the ramble or down the wide promenade of the mall, slowly taking time to breathe in the breathtaking surroundings. Central Park Waltz beautifully captures the serene charm of a stroll through New York City’s Central Park. The waltz features a gentle melody that weaves through the ensemble, evoking the park's peaceful atmosphere amidst the hustle of the city. The piece’s graceful and elegant character brings to life the timeless beauty of Central Park, from its stone bridges to the peaceful rowboats on the lake.
