Violin 1, Violin 2, Violin 3, Viola, Cello, Contrabass — Composed in the late 1700’s, the Contredanse comes from Joseph Bologne’s only surviving opera, "L’Amont Anonyme." Often compared to Mozart, Bologne's compositions are often energetic, refined, and delightful. This one is no exception. Originally for chamber orchestra, this arrangement is accessible to younger players while maintaining the spirit and integrity of the piece.
