First violins will have shifting, while second violins and violas will continue to master changing finger patterns. Cellos will work on extensions and shifting and basses will encounter shifts as well. This is a great piece to have your developing ensemble stretch their musicality in the yuletide season! Three Silent Nights combines three favorite pieces of the holiday season. All Through the Night starts this arrangement with energy before the tempo slows down, the key modulates from G Major to D Major, and the meter changes for the meditative Silent Night. This crescendos gradually into the lyrical melody O, Holy Night for a dramatic conclusion. First violins, cellos, and basses will encounter some shifting, while all players get to work on a variety of finger patterns. A beautiful medley for a night of winter music!
