Flute, Oboe, Flute 2, Clarinet in Bb, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet in Bb, Horn in F, Trombone, Euphonium, Bassoon, Bb Euphonium, Tuba, Mallet Percussion, Bells, Timpani, Percussion 1, Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Percussion 2, Crash Cymbals — 6-Note Folk Song Suite is intended for a young band with at least six weeks training. The suite is comprised of four familiar melodies which every elementary school child knows. They are Mary Had a Little Lamb, Go Tell Aunt Rhody, Hot Cross Buns, and When the Saints Go Marching In. Every instrument will have an opportunity to carry a tune. Each of these tunes contains only the first six notes of the Bb major scale. If the band does not have the endurance to play all four tunes consecutively, the arrangement is set up to allow the director to decide where to start and stop. The director may also decide to eliminate repeats.Thank you for choosing this arrangement.
