It is intended for directors who plan to have a beginning band performance at or near the winter holidays. The six notes needed for a performance are found in every beginning band method: Bb scale-wise up to G. The grade level is 1/2. Clarinet notes are below the break. Only the Snare Drum part contains eighth-notes. A suitable tempo will be decided by the director. All instruments will have an opportunity to play the melody to Jolly Old St. Nicholas.
