Description
Voice, Violin 1, Violin 2, Trumpet 1, Trumpet 2, Armonía, Vihuela, Guitar, Guitarrón — "Cielito Lindo" is a popular Mexican song written by Quirino Mendoza y Cortés in 1882. While the literal translation of the title means 'lovely little sky,' Mendoza uses the word Cielito as a term of endearment to mean 'sweetheart.' "Cielito Lindo" has been played by and sung by many different singers and groups all over the world, and has become a staple of the mariachi repertoire. This arrangement can be performed with or without the vocal parts, as the vocals are doubled in the violins and trumpets.
