Las Mañanitas

Treble, Tenor, Violin 1, Violin 2, Trumpet 1, Trumpet 2, Armonía, Vihuela, Guitar, Guitarrón — "Las Mañanitas" (The Little Mornings) is a popular traditional Mexican folk song used for birthday celebrations or a Mother’s Day serenade. The tradition is to sing this festive song in the early morning, but it can be heard at birthday celebrations at any time of the day. Throughout the years, many verses have been written and performed. Two verses are included here, but additional verses can be added as needed. This arrangement can be performed with or without the vocal parts since the melody is doubled in the trumpets and the violins.
