Feris and current conductor, Ken Jaeger. The band was formed in 1966 with just a few members and has grown to over 250 that participate each year in a summer of music in the amphitheater in downtown Glendale every June and July.This piece includes:The bold opening fanfare that can be played alone, ending on beat one of m. 12.A polka section using the tune Westward Ho.A calm middle section “Desert Twilight.”A dynamic celebration bringing the piece to a resounding climax.Performance Time: 5:40
