The setting is just the perfect fit for many church choirs, with limited difficulty for the men and the exchange of melody between children’s voices, women’s and men’s lines. The melody itself is lovely and the text summons us all to come to the Christ child. The piano accompaniment offers a substantial support to the voices, while remaining simple enough for any church pianist to play. A special part for string synthesizer is also included.
