Description
Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Cello, Contrabass — The Bacchanale is a frantic dance full of reckless abandon. Taken from the name of the Roman god of wine Bacchus, this dance is basically a wild party. The piece starts with lyrical melodies juxtaposed against sharp, driving motors. The middle consists of a tempo modulation into a contrasting longing tune; but the party picks back up and finishes in spectacular style!
