The park is known for its sweeping vistas and rugged, seemingly untouched landscape. The Sauty Creek Trail follows the course of South Sauty Creek through the heart of Buck’s Pocket State Park. This scenic path traces the rim and slopes of the canyon on a rugged, natural-surface trail with rocky sections and steady elevation changes. Along the way, hikers may encounter mountain laurel in bloom, tranquil pools shimmering beneath the trees, and hawks soaring gracefully above the cliffs.Rehearsal Notes The Sauty Creek March is written in a traditional march style and should be performed with a clear marcato articulation throughout, except where marked sostenuto or indicated by slurs. Maintain a light, buoyant character—imagine the energy and enjoyment of a hike along a beautiful wooded trail. Balance clarity with forward motion, keeping the style crisp but never heavy.
