A quiet opening sparks into motion, then explodes into a relentless rush fueled by jagged rhythms and unexpected accents. A brief, deceptive calm emerges as the herd hits its stride, only to be subsumed by the chaos. This piece is dedicated with gratitude to Mr. Gerardo Reyes and the Brewster School Band on the occasion of their performance as the 1C Honor Band at the Texas Music Educators Conference.
