Violin 1, Violin 2, Violin 3, Viola, Cello, Contrabass, Piano — Presenting the Strings is a very easy composition designed to feature each section of a beginning string orchestra. Each section has its own melody. The viola melody is heard at m. 13. The basses and celli play their melody at m. 33. The violins enter with their melody at m. 53, while the other two sections perform their melodies again in counterpoint.This composition may be performed as a straightforward concert piece or as an educational lecture for a young audience. The announcements indicated in the score are optional. If used, they can be spoken by the players or by another individual.Thank you for choosing this composition.
