Two Latin Settings

Description

Soprano 1, Soprano 2, Alto, Piano — Contrasting styles make these two melodies fit well together in Mark Patterson's piece, Two Latin Settings. "Jubilate Deo" features a strong, fanfare opening, followed by a lighter, syncopated section before returning to the opening material. The second selection, "Ubi Caritas," is quite calm; an exquisite setting of the text "Where there is charity and love, there is God."
