Description
Soprano, Alto, Piano — I remember singing John Rutter's Candlelight Carol as a high school student and loving the warmth and comfort that piece evoked. On some level, that inspired me to write this piece. As we enter the Christmas season, we also enter the darkest time of the year (for those of us in the northern hemisphere), but there is something about the myriad (or "symphony") of Christmas lights that symbolizes peace and hope. This piece is intended for treble choirs both large and small and is perfect for any Christmas or holiday concert. Inspired by the warmth of John Rutter’s Candlelight Carol, this piece captures the beauty and hope of the holiday season. Written for treble choirs of all sizes, it reflects on the symbolic light of Christmas during the year’s darkest days, evoking a sense of peace and comfort. With its expressive melodies and gentle harmonies, this work is a perfect addition to any Christmas or holiday concert, bringing a touch of luminous serenity to your program.
