Description

Voice 1, Voice 2, Piano, Descant, Shaker, Djembe, Bass Drum — Sansa Kroma is a popular folk song from the Akan people in Ghana, a country located along the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean, in West Africa. "Sansa" is a name, and "kroma" means eagle or hawk. The folk-legend of this song states that one day, Sansa Kroma was flying high in the noonday sky when she saw a flock of orphaned eagle chicks. She immediately hovered over them, picked them up and carried them back to her nest where she raised them as her own.Through this piece, Akan children are assured that if they are ever orphaned, someone in the village (or the entire village) will always nurture and provide for them.Sansaxa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0kromaSAHN-sahxa0 xa0 xa0 xa0 kroh-MAHxa0xa0xa0Nexa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0naxa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0wuoxa0xa0xa0xa0xa0okyekyerxa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0nkokoxa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0mbaNeexa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0nayxa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0wooxa0xa0xa0xa0aw-CHAY-chayxa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0KOH-kohxa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0mahSansa, the hawk, they are orphans. You go about finding food for the chicks.xa0About the Arrangerxa0Victor C.
