Flute, Bassoon — Sand Trap takes influence from the spontaneous, jagged unison lines played by bebop horn sectionpairings — Cannonball Adderley and Miles Davis or Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker, for example— as well as the unison rhythms played by saxophone sections in big-bands. One can imagine a minigolf ball flying in the air, spinning, and bouncing on the turf after a putt, only to bounce to a halt intoa sand trap, then to be smacked out and land right in the hole for a stroke well over par.
