Thistledown

Description

Thistledown takes its title from a time-travelling spaceship in the sci-fi novel Eon by Greg Bear. The vessel, which resembles an asteroid, is filled with cylindrical chambers, including one that is a path to alternate universes. Composed for and premiered by the Either/Or Ensemble, George Lewis likens that ship's vast halls to his piece's unique collection of spaces for the audience to "visit and inhabit."
