25 Irish Songs, WoO 152

Description

George Thompson, a collector of folk tunes, commissioned Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) to arrange a selection of the songs he had gathered. In 1814, they were first published in a volume titled "A Select Collection of Original Irish Airs."
