Talahassee, Op. 73, No. 4 was composed around 1911 by Cyril Scott (1879-1970) as part of a set of character pieces reflecting his fascination with exoticism, mysticism, and non-European musical color--interests closely tied to his involvement with Theosophy and other spiritual movements of the early 20th century.
