Concerto for Guitar in D, RV 93 (Lute)

Description

Originally titles "Concerto con 2 violini, leuto e basso continuo," this transcription for guitar, violin, viola and cello moves the prominent voice from the 1st violin to the guitar part as the lute is really only a secondary voice in the original.  With the organic nature of the guitar, like the lute, and the expressiveness of the bowed instruments, the whole remains in an atmosphere of deep harmony, attractive for its intimacy and emotive power.  Instrumentation: Solo Gtr (in set): Str (Vn-4.Va-4.Vc/CB-4).
