Dark Moon

Description

Dark Moon is a work which lies mostly in the Aeolian mode with hints of Dorian and Phrygian as the work progresses. Starting out rather aggressively, the piece grows in volume and intensity to a climax about halfway through at which point it transitions to a softer, more legato feel with gentle pizzicato accompaniment. The mood then rather quickly transitions back to an aggressive tone with wide leaps and short repetitive motives leading to the climactic finish.
