Description
Troldhaugen, or "knoll of the trolls," was the name given to the villa where Grieg lived from 1885 until his death. This work began as a piano piece intended to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his marriage. This band arrangement by Louis Philippe Laurendeau was based on an orchestration by Theodore Moses Tobani. This edition by Mark Rogers includes newly engraved full score and parts, and was created as a tribute to Percy Grainger, whose great love for Grieg's happiest music was a lifelong passion.
