Spirited Dance

Description

Spirited Dance exemplifies the spirited exuberance of the youthful musicians for which it was composed. Using the Lydian mode in several transpositions, the work contrasts shifting meters and syncopated rhythms with lyrical melodies superimposed over driving eighth note rhythms. The overall effect is one of charged energy.
