Dance of the Furies

Description

DANCE OF THE FURIES was originally scored for strings with pairs of oboes, bassoons, and horns, plus three trombones. This arrangement moves essential wind lines into string parts while maintaining the original flavor of the well-known composition. The bass part, which originally duplicated the cello line, has been rhythmically simplified while preserving shift work necessary for the technical challenge to developing basses. Advanced bass students may with to play from cello parts. The challenge to all lies in speed.
